Difot Australia was engaged during mobilisation phase of a $200M Rail Infrastructure Upgrade project to implement project reporting and enable Project Leadership Team to effectively govern the project delivery, while supporting project teams to deliver on time and on budget.
Key requirements for reporting and governance were established in consultations with Project Leadership Team, which included key focus areas, frequency, method and mandatory corporate and contractual obligations. Detailed requirements were captured from relevant annexures in contract documents and project mandate.
With reporting requirements defined, leading and lagging metrics were developed and data sources identified with functional leads and project controls team. Through number of workshops with project teams, key process steps were identified to develop process-based structured reporting templates. This enabled teams to quickly identify anomalies within the processes.
Teams were trained and coached on reporting requirements and provided with reference documentation, including one-point lessons, during reporting implementation.
Improved governance and risk mitigation.
Monthly progress reporting to Client as per contractual requirements.
Monthly progress reporting to Project Board in line with project mandate.
Weekly project progress reporting to Project Senior Leadership.
